HOUSTON, TX, January 9, 2025 – The Tung Hsiao Power Plant Renewal Project in Miaoli County, Taiwan, is a milestone achievement in the country’s journey toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape.
GE Vernova successfully completed the project in just 10 months, deploying state-of-the-art gas turbine technology, including the innovative LM2500XPRESS aero-derivative units capable of running on hydrogen blends. This advanced solution will help Taiwan transition from coal-fired power generation to a more sustainable, gas-fired power system, while enabling the integration of renewable energy sources, including offshore wind and solar power.
