Purpose of the position

  • The CRO will operate the plant facilities and equipment according to the OEM manuals, established procedures, policies, standards, and applicable regulations and following the Team Leader instructions. The operator will report directly to the Plant Manager under Team Leader supervision. CRO will be the main point of contact at CCR for day-to-day operation and emergency contacts with Tanweer dispatch and ODG port facility.


    • Proactively participate in the PRISMECS health, safety, and environment program.
    • Comply with the health, safety and environment regulations applicable to the power generation plant industry.
    • CRO is the PTW Competent Person and responsible for reviewing all PTW and LOTO procedures before team is allowed to start work activities.
    • Collaborate with HSE in everything is needed and comply with their directives or guidelines
    • Carry out the scheduled work programmed by the shift supervisor during his shift, including but not imited to:
    •             Operate the SCADA, Protection and Control Systems in compliance with the procedures established and the Power Agreement requirement.
    •             Execute of the preventive routine inspections established.
    •             Fuel truck offloading in accordance with the applicable procedures, policies, standards and Power Agreement requirements.
    •             General Facilities Maintenance.
    •             Support other activities assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
    • Responsible of the prompt communication of any incident, accident, injury, environmental violation, equipment failure, damage to the equipment and any other event in the plant that require immediate action during his shift.
    • Correct use and care of tools and auxiliary equipment.
    • Stay vigilant with HMI GYs and BOP monitors data, reporting any discrepancy or alarms displayed to Team Leader.
    • Perform hourly reading in all GTs and BOP equipment and perform visual inspection reporting any abnormal situation or suspicious to Team Leader.
    • Housekeeping, as he will maintain CCR clean all the time. And be responsible for transferring CCR to incoming shift clean and ready for operation.
    • Energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations.
    • Assist in the implementation of initiatives of quality and productivity
  • Qualifications

    • Requires a university degree in Mechanic or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and ideally minimum of 3 years’ experience in the operation of similar power plant,
    • A minimum of 3 years’ proved experience working with TM2500+ generation 8 gas turbines.
    • English proficiency (reading, writing and speaking)
    • Reporting knowledge and experience.
    • Capable working in rotation shifts.
    • Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Knowledge.
    • HSE General Basic Knowledge
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 (a plus)
    • Fuel handling applicable standards knowledge and experience.
