Dr Asif Ali M.D. has Joined Prismecs as Executive Board Advisor For Healthcare Power & AI

Dr. Asif Ali, M.D, is a preventive cardiologist and physician-innovator recognized for his leadership at the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare infrastructure, and energy systems. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston Tilman J. Fertitta College of Medicine. He is a partner at Houston Cardiology Consultants. He is also the Founder and Director of the Cena Research Institute. 
 

A native Houstonian, Dr. Ali earned his BS in Biology from Trinity University and completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, followed by residency training in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine, with advanced expertise in cardiovascular imaging. For more than a decade, Dr. Ali has been deeply engaged in cross-sector technology transfer spanning medicine, oil & gas, energy, and aerospace. Working alongside engineers, data scientists, and geophysicists, he has helped translate imaging, signal-processing, and AI methodologies across traditionally siloed industries—addressing shared challenges in reliability, scalability, and infrastructure resilience. 

His technical collaborations include adapting echocardiographic ultrasound principles for advanced imaging applications and advancing cloud-streamed, AI-enabled medical imaging platforms that support real-time diagnostics across distributed healthcare environments. Dr. Ali holds national leadership roles with the American Heart Association, serving on its Health Technology Advisory Group and AI Committee. In industry, he advises and serves in executive medical leadership roles for multiple health-technology and energy-adjacent companies, including advising Prismecs on the design of energy-resilient healthcare infrastructure. Across academia, clinical medicine, research, and industry, Dr. Ali's work is unified by a singular focus: building resilient, intelligent systems where healthcare delivery, data, and power infrastructure converge.
