4 MW / 16 MWh Solar-Plus-Storage Retrofit

Prismecs delivered a DC-coupled retrofit that integrated a 16 MWh battery system with an existing 4 MW solar array. The upgrade enhances usable energy and streamlines operations by integrating PV and storage as a single system.

Our scope encompassed the control philosophy for a coordinated BESS, inverter, and string optimizers, including engineering the BESS connection at the inverter DC link, cable protection design, a DC arc-flash study for PV and BESS, system testing, and support throughout procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning.
