HOUSTON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 01, 2024, Prismecs is excited to collaborate with the Auri-Avalon Group of Companies. Avalon BioEnergy Uruguay S.A, a subsidiary of Avalon Energy Group LLC, on the launch of a groundbreaking $380 million Agriculture-Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project in Latin America.
This innovative biorefinery, located in Uruguay and backed by the Uruguayan government, is set to revolutionize aviation fuel by significantly reducing carbon emissions.
“We are honored to have the support of the Uruguayan government,” said Irshad Ahmed, President & CEO of Auris-Avalon Group of Companies. “This SAF facility represents a major step toward achieving net-zero carbon emissions while promoting economic growth in Uruguay.”
The project, recognized as a high-impact clean energy initiative, will feature a state-of-the-art 100,000 MT/year SAF production facility and a 50 MW solar power plant dedicated to green hydrogen production.
